A 14 year-old youth has been charged with multiple offences after his fingerprints allegedly matched several ‘cold hits.’

Detective Senior Sergeant Travis Wurst said the young man had only recently been arrested in relation to an unlawful entry and had not previously been fingerprinted.

“Forensic examinations have now linked this offender to quite a few locations around Alice Springs that date back as far as February, including the alleged theft of a vehicle a week ago.”

Detective Senior Sergeant Wurst said the juvenile has been charged with:

3 x Aggravated enter dwelling with intent

3 x Damage Property

2 x Stealing

1 x Trespass

1 x Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
