A 33-year-old male remains in a critical condition in Royal Darwin Hospital following a crash that occurred in Fannie Bay early this morning.

A 33-year-old male remains in a critical condition in Royal Darwin Hospital following a crash that occurred in Fannie Bay early this morning.

Senior Sergeant Bob Harrison said that it is alleged the male stepped out into traffic on East Point Road at around 1:15 am.

“He was struck by a passing taxi, a Toyota Prius, and was taken to hospital by St John Ambulance members,” said Senior Sergeant Harrison.

“The 59-year-old taxi driver was uninjured in the crash.

“This is a serious incident and I urge all Territory drivers to exercise extreme caution whilst travelling on our roads.”
