Man wanted in WA arrested in Palmerston

Police

Western Australian Detectives have flown to Darwin to extradite a 55-year-old male who was arrested in Palmerston.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Chris Board of the General Crime Section said detectives arrested the man yesterday at a residence in Moulden after they received information that he was wanted in Western Australia.

“Information provided to NT Police was that the man was wanted in Perth in relation to an outstanding imprisonment warrant for an armed robbery in 1990,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Board said.

“This again demonstrates that persons wanted interstate cannot hide in this jurisdiction without eventually being apprehended. We will continue to liaise with our interstate counterparts and expect further arrests in the future.”
