An Irish man in his 20s remains in a serious but stable condition following a fall at a hostel on Mitchell Street.

Sergeant Rob de Vos from Darwin Police Station said the incident was reported to Police at around 11:20pm last night.

“It was reported that the man fell approximately three metres and landed on a cement floor,” Sergeant de Vos said.

“Thankfully two of the guests who responded were also registered nurses, and administered first aid until St John Ambulance members arrived.

“Investigations into the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing.”
