A 36-year-old man will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today facing incest and sexual assault charges relating to three children under 16 years.

Senior Sergeant Scott Manley of the Sex Crimes Section said Child Abuse Taskforce Detectives received information last week stating the man had been sexually interfering with the children since 2009. 

“These are serious crimes against children which the community and Police have absolutely no tolerance for,” Senior Sergeant Manley said.

“The Child Abuse Taskforce is a professional team dedicated to keeping kids safe. It was due to their good work that he was arrested on Friday night.”

He was arrested, charged and remanded in custody to appear in court today.
