Man Charged with String of Offences - Darwin

A 25-year-old man will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court this morning to face a string of charges which relate to crimes committed between 8 March and 3 May.

Detective Acting Superintendent Peter Schiller from the Drug and Specialist Crime Division said the man was the alleged offender in five serious violent incidents involving seven victims.

“Drug and Organised Crime Squad Detectives with the assistance of Territory Response Group, Serious Crime Unit, Palmerston Tactical Unit, PSU and Drug Operations Unit arrested the man on Thursday,” Detective Acting Superintendent Schiller said.

“The man’s apprehension involved a comprehensive Police effort and we’re glad to finally have him off the street.”

The man was charged with a number of offences including:  

Aggravated enter dwelling intent commit offence;
Aggravated assault (x 4);
Stealing;
Robbery – aggravated;
Recklessly endangering serious harm;

Damage to property (x 2);
Possess/ use firearm whilst unlicensed (x3).

 

He was refused bail to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court this morning.
