Northern Territory Police have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting a woman at The Narrows.

Senior Sergeant Garry Smith said Police were called to a residence at about 9.30 this morning.

“Police have arrested a 42-year-old man in relation to this incident,” Senior Sergeant Smith said.

“Police allege a 39-year-old woman received multiple wounds to the face.

“She was conveyed to the Royal Darwin Hospital by St John Ambulance in a serious condition.”
