Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to a structure fire in Tennant Creek this week.

Detective Constable First Class Damien Barbe said the man is believed to have been in the area of ‘Rockits’ on Paterson Street at the time of the incident.

“Police urge the man to come forward as he may be able to assist with the investigation,” Detective Constable First Class Barbe said.

“Police and Fire and Rescue members attended the blaze at around 4:30 am on Wednesday after receiving information stating smoke was billowing from within the empty building.

“The man Police wish to speak with is described to have been wearing a hooded jacket, dark coloured trousers and light coloured sneakers.

“Anyone who may recognise this man, or who may have been in the area of ‘Rockits’ between the hours of 3-5am, are urged to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
