Howard Springs Murder Investigation Update

Detectives from the Major Crime Squad have seized a vehicle believed to have been used during the murder of a 53-year-old Howard Springs man.

Police were called to a Howard Springs property on Monday night, April the 23rd where the victim’s body was discovered.

A woman taken hostage during the incident escaped and alerted authorities.

A 35-year-old man has since been charged with murder and deprivation of liberty.

“The late model Holden Commodore is distinct in colour and has South Australian registration,” said Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Bradley Currie.

“Police are calling on any members of the public who may have noticed the vehicle anywhere between Darwin City, the northern suburbs or rural area, from Monday the 23rd of April through until 7am Tuesday the 24th of April, to contact them.”
