Howard Springs Murder Investigation

Police

Detectives from the Major Crime Squad are searching for the whereabouts of a motorcycle, thought to be connected to the murder of a 53-year-old Howard Springs man.

Police were called to a Howard Springs property on Monday night, April the 23rd.

The body of the deceased man was discovered after a woman taken hostage and tied up during the killing, was able to escape and raise the alarm.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with murder and deprivation of liberty.

Detective Senior Constable Glen Chatto says Police are searching for a 2005 Black Suzuki GSX-R1000.

“The bike is a key part of the investigation and locating it is important.” Said Det Snr Con Chatto.

“The motorcycle’s registration is unknown but is thought to have interstate plates.”

“The bike has distinct red edging around the rims and red trim on the faring. ‘Yoshimura’ stickers are also below the GSX-R decals.”

“It has also been fitted with a single ‘Yoshimura’ exhaust system instead of the standard twin exhaust.”

Anyone who may locate the motorcycle is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
