Five men are to appear in the Tennant Creek Court today after escaping from a low security facility in Tennant Creek late on Sunday night.
Detective Sergeant Glenn Leafe of Tennant Creek Investigations said a group of five men left Barkly Prison Camp at around 11:30pm.
“Three of the men returned to the work camp within a few hours and the fourth was apprehended shortly after,” Detective Sergeant Leafe said.
“Police located the last escapee, a 23-year-old man, at around 12:30am this morning at a residence on Griggs Street. All five have been charged with escape lawful custody.”
