Major Crime Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Palmerston.

Police were called to a block of units on Essington Avenue in Gray, just before 3pm.

“On route, Officers were waived down by a passing vehicle transporting the victim to hospital.” Said Commander Kate Vanderlaan

“CPR commenced but the man was declared deceased.”

“Police immediately cordoned the unit block and surrounding streets as TRG members moved in, searching for the armed offender.”

“The offender is yet to be located.” Said Cmdr Vanderlaan.
