“A 61-year-old, off duty Senior Aboriginal Community Police Officer has been bailed to appear in the Daly River Court on 27 September 2012 to face the following charges:

• Aggravated Assault
• Unlawfully Cause Harm
• Aggravated Unlawful Entry

NT Police will allege that the off duty Officer assaulted two males on 5 August 2012 after unlawfully entering a property.

The Officer has been issued with a notice of suspension today pending criminal and internal disciplinary outcomes.

There are no further details available while the internal disciplinary process continues and this matter is before Court.”
