Dundee Death - Update

Police

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of 53-year-old Paul “Scrooge” DUTOIT at Dundee Beach.

Authorities launched an air and ground search for the man after friends reported him missing.

“Initial reports suggest he left his friends on Tuesday night the 20th of March.” said Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Bradley Currie, OIC of the Major Crime Section.

“The following evening he was reported missing and Police recovered his body early on Thursday morning.”

“Police are appealing to the public who may have been in the vicinity of Stingray Head on the 20th and 21st to contact them.”

The deceased was wearing black jeans and a black cowboy hat but no shirt.

Anyone travelling to the Finniss River Mouth or who has information surrounding the deceased’s movements over those two days is asked to contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
