Police

A search warrant executed on a Girraween residence has uncovered a crude clandestine drug laboratory.

Just before 7am yesterday Police raided the Wetherby Road property, after intelligence suggested pseudo ephedrine previously stolen from a local Pharmacy had been delivered to the house.

“It will be alleged equipment used in the making of methamphetamine was located at the residence.” Said Commander Richard Bryson.

“A quantity of white powder, believed to be methamphetamine, cannabis, drug related paraphernalia and cash were also seized.” Said Cmdr Bryson.

A 31-year-old male has been charged with Possessing Articles used in the Manufacture of a Dangerous Drug, Possessing a Precursor, Possessing Methamphetamine and Possessing a Dangerous Drug.

He will appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court today.
