Serious Crime Squad detectives have released images of three men they believe were involved in the assault of a17-year-old man in Jingili on Monday 23 April.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Chris Board said the teenager was riding his bicycle along Rothdale Road in Casuarina when a white Toyota Camry sedan stopped in front of him.

“Police allege the driver exited the vehicle, approached the teenager and demanded he hand over his bike,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Board said.

“It is alleged the offender then punched him to the face before stealing his bike.

“The driver is described to be of Caucasian appearance, tall with a slim build and was wearing an orange work shirt. He also had blue work shorts, gators and a pink eyebrow piercing.

“One passenger was described as Asian in appearance, approximately 18 years old, 170cm tall, and at the time of the incident, was wearing a grey shirt, black shorts and black sandals.

“The second passenger, a Caucasian male, is around 18 years old, slim build, approximately 173cm tall had long brown/blonde hair and was wearing a white shirt, black shorts and had an eyebrow piercing.

“The driver of a white tow truck stopped at the scene and assisted the young man by driving him home. We would like the driver of the tow truck to come forward as we believe he may have information that will assist this investigation.

“Police urge anyone who may recognise these men, or who may have witnessed the assault, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
