A 32-year-old man will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court this afternoon in relation to child sex offences that occurred between 2010 and 2011 in Alice Springs.

Detective Acting Superintendent, Southern Investigations Division, Travis Wurst said the man was arrested on Friday 5 January in New South Wales after investigations uncovered the man’s location.

“The man was extradited from Wagga Wagga today after he was remanded into the custody of the NT Police on Monday.

“Detectives from the Southern Investigations Section have since charged the man with sexual intercourse without consent and sexual intercourse with a family member between 10 and 15 years of age,” said Detective Acting Superintendent Wurst.
