Call for Witnesses - Hit and Run - Alice Springs

Alice Springs Police are calling for witnesses to a vehicle Vs pedestrian crash in the Northside shopping centre carpark, off the Stuart Highway, at about 8.30pm last night.

Senior Sergeant Darrell Kerr said a 58 year-old man was in hospital after being struck by a Ford Sedan that was allegedly driving in a dangerous manner around the car park prior to striking the man.

“Police are looking for the driver of a silver 1998 Ford Falcon sedan and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the area prior to or immediately after the incident.

“The vehicle has been seized after it was found abandoned in Priest Street, Braitling, last night.”

Senior Sergeant Kerr said the Major Crash Investigation Unit were urging anyone with information to contact Police on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
