Body Yet to be Identified - Darwin

Police

Northern Territory Police are hoping items belonging to a man found deceased on the Esplanade cliff-face on the 6th of February, may help lead to his identification.

The death is not being treated as suspicious; however Police are trying to determine his identity in an effort to notify next of kin.

“No identification documents were located with the mans’ belongings and fingerprint analysis has failed to reveal his identity.” Said Sergeant Bradley Currie.

“A post mortem examination has determined the man may have been of European descent.”

“Of further interest to police was a short-wave radio in his possession which could possibly have been used to listen to international programs.”

“The deceased also had a black ‘Kathmandu’ backpack and a unique sarong.” Said Sgt Currie.

The male is described as being:
Caucasian
175-185cm tall
Slight to medium build.
20-40 years old.
Long blond or red hair - possibly shoulder length.
