NT Police have released an image of a man captured on CCTV footage that they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries in relation to the assault of two women on Friday morning.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant  Kieran Wells from the Sex Crimes Division said further investigations have revealed both assaults took place in Shadforth Lane within minutes of each other.

“Between 12:25 am and 12:35 am, it is alleged an unknown man assaulted a 21-year-old woman in Shadforth Lane by grabbing her around the neck. The woman was able to escape from the man and report the matter to licensed premises who then rang Police,” Detective A/Senior Sergeant Wells.

“Investigations to identify and apprehend the offender in this matter are a priority and we are seeking assistance from the public to help identify this man.”
