Police are investigating an aggravated assault which occurred at a home in Larapinta early this morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Travis Wurst of the Southern Investigations Division said the incident was reported at 4:45am.

“It was reported to Police that an unknown man entered a residence on Esther Court armed with a baseball bat,” Detective Senior Sergeant Wurst said.

“It is alleged he struck four females aged 12 – 54 with the bat. The two young girls aged 12 and 13 ran from the area to alert a friend.

“The offender fled the scene prior to Police arrival.

“St John Ambulance members attended and conveyed all four victims to hospital.

“Police are investigating the incident and urge anyone who may have seen a man running from Esther Court between 4:30 and 5:00am, or anyone acting suspiciously in the area, to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
