After weeks of searching, Alice Springs Police have arrested wanted man Gregory Abbott.

Detective Senior Sergeant Travis Wurst of the Southern Investigations Division said the 25-year-old handed himself in to Police this afternoon.

“It is alleged he assaulted a visitor at a Darwin residence in March 2010 and seriously assaulted two visitors at two separate residences in Alice Springs in June 2012,” Detective Senior Sergeant Wurst said.

“He has been outstanding for several weeks however, due to hard work by General Duties members and Investigators, he was arrested today without incident.

“I would like to thank the public for their assistance in providing information which has helped lead to this persons arrest.”
