Woman Assaulted - Alice Springs - Arrest Update

Alice Springs Detectives have arrested a 17-year-old male believed to have been involved in the assault of a woman in Alice Springs in on Sunday morning.



It is believed the youth was involved in an incident where a number of teenagers attended a party on Memorial Drive and assaulted the 50-year-old female host after she attempted to move them on. A car was also damage during the incident.



The woman was taken to Alice Springs hospital by ambulance and has since been airlifted to Royal Adelaide Hospital where she remains.



Members of the Southern Investigation Unit arrested the youth this afternoon and conveyed him to the Alice Springs Watch house House where he will be interviewed.



Police have identified a number of persons of interest and are continuing to conduct enquiries.
