Wanted List Gets Another Hit

Police

Launching the ‘Territory’s Wanted’ list on the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services website has again reaped rewards.

Earlier this week the third offender listed on the site was arrested in Western Australia, extradited to Darwin and today faced the Supreme Court.

The 21-year-old man was wanted in relation to failing to comply with sentencing orders for a conviction of sexual assault.

Assistant Commissioner of Crime, Reece Kershaw, said putting alleged offenders on the ‘Territory’s Wanted’ list and in the public domain has been extremely successful.

“To have three people located from the ‘Territory’s Wanted’ list in less than a month, highlights the relationship between the Northern Territory Police Force and the public and proves that someone knows where these people are.”
