After further investigations, Police have located another child deceased in the car crash that occurred in Blythe River this afternoon.

The vehicle crash was originally reported to Police at around 3:15pm this afternoon on the banks of the River.

Members from Ramingining and Maningrida, as well as Fire Emergency Response Group (FERG) attended the scene and upon searching the car, have located two deceased children.

Members from the Major Crash Unit are currently en route to the scene and further investigations will continue to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.

This now takes the NT road toll to 16 compared to 21 for the same period last year.
