Motorists are warned that the Chambers Pillar Road between Maryvale Station and Chambers Pillar has been closed.

Incident Controller Sergeant Shaun Gill said the access road has been closed due to fires in the area. 

“We are again urging people to abide by the road closed advices.,” Sgt Gill said. 

“ There are still a number of serious fires burning in Central Australia and even if the roads aren’t closed there is still a significant hazard through thick smoke over some roads.
