Police, Fire and Rescue and Emergency Services advise that Adelaide River is continuing to rise at the Adelaide River Township.

The river is currently at 11.9 metres and is expected to rise to approximately 12.2 metres.

Local Police have been door knocking in the area in an attempt to warn all residents.

It has just been reported that Memorial Drive is experiencing flooding however it has not yet reached any houses.

All non essential travel should cease now and the Adelaide River Bridge will be shut if the water breaches it.
