Police have today issued a photo of a person of interest in relation to the death of a woman whose body was found in the Todd River yesterday.

Police cordoned off the Todd River from Wills Terrace causeway to Schwarz Crescent causeway for most of the day yesterday after the body of a 25-year-old woman was found in the middle of the dry river bed just after 8.30am.

Detective Acting Superintendent  Travis Wurst said an autopsy was conducted on the woman’s body this morning.

“The results of the autopsy support our view that the woman’s death was suspicious,” Det A/Supt Wurst said.

“Detectives investigating the case have released a photo of a 35-year-old man, Donathon Williams, who we believe may be able to help with our inquiries.”
