A 19-year-old male has been charged with several offences relating to the fatal crash that occurred in Blythe River yesterday afternoon, resulting in the death of a three and a five-year-old child.

Members from the Major Crash Unit attended and have subsequently charged the driver with:

• Drive unlicensed
• Drive motor vehicle cause harm (x2)
• Drive with child under 16 not restrained (x2)

He has been bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate’s Court on 18 August 2011.
