Police, Fire, Emergency Services continue the Survey and Rescue operation across the Greater Darwin, Regional and Remote areas across the Top End. Calls are still flooding into the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre for assistance as trees continue to fall, and waters continue to rise. At present, authorities are dealing with numerous reports of fallen trees, power lines down, vehicles stranded and leaky roofs. The areas affected by downed power lines include: Howard Springs Batchelor Leanyer Rapid Creek Airport Members of the public are urged to exercise extreme caution and stay well clear from downed power lines. To report fallen power lines people are urged to call 1800 245 090 Road conditions continue to change rapidly.
