A second person has been arrested in relation to the death of a man at an Alice Springs Town Camp overnight.

Police received a report just after 11.30pm last night that a man had been stabbed at Hoppy's Camp. Police found the 30-year-old man's body near Charles Creek at the rear of the camp. The man appears to have been stabbed in the chest.

Police have now arrested two people - a 22-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man - in relation to the death.

Superintendent Michael White said police were also keen to speak to a taxi driver who picked up two women near the Northside Foodland Supermarket between 11.30pm and 12.30am last night.

An autopsy will be conducted at the weekend to establish the cause of the man's death and a file will be prepared for the Coroner .
