Katherine Police are investigating an Unlawful Entry at Katherine Sport and Recreation Club on Wednesday night.

Police were alerted to the incident at about 8:00am Thursday morning and attended the scene. It appears the offender(s forced entry to the club through a security screen and window and removed three plastic containers containing thousands of dollars worth of one dollar coins.

Police are seeking the assistance of businesses and banking institutions to identify any persons buying items with or banking large quantities of $1 coins.
