Police have arrested two males aged 18 and 21 in relation to an armed robbery that occurred in Winnellie on 11 May 2011.
It is alleged that 21-year-old in the company of a co-offender, entered the United Petroleum Service Station in Winnellie and after claiming to have a firearm, threatened the console operator.
The two fled the store into a waiting vehicle, driven by the 18-year-old, with a sum of cash, cigarettes and a number grocery items.
The 21-year-old male was charged with robbery in company and stealing and appeared in the Darwin Magistrate’s Court today.
The 18-year-old was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
