Police and Emergency Services are trying to reach the scene of a freight train derailment.
Police received a report about half-past-five this morning that the Iron Ore train derailed just north of Edith Falls River Crossing.
Initial reports suggest one of the drivers has suffered a back injury, but the extent of the injury is not yet known. The co-driver is reportedly uninjured.
"Police will use a helicopter to get Officers and medical staff to the scene." Said Commander David Proctor.
"Police believe the train has about 20 carriages and the incident has led to a complete derailment."
"We need to ensure the scene is safe before investigations can begin into how the freight train came off the tracks."
