NT Police will send a second contingent of members to aid in the recovery effort in New Zealand.

The seven officers ranging from Senior Sergeant through to Constable are made up of six males and a female and are expected to remain there for two weeks.

They will be part of the second rotation of almost 140 Australian frontline officers, Commanders and support staff to deploy to New Zealand.

This group will be flying out late Thursday night and will overlap with the original contingent of four Urban Search and Rescue qualified personnel that are scheduled to return this weekend.
