TAB Theft

Police

Northern Territory Police are searching for a man wanted in relation to placing numerous TAB bets but not paying for them.

Police say the unknown male attended Cazaly’s in Palmerston and placed his bets into the TAB machine.

It’s alleged he then reached over the machine and took the bets without paying for them.

On at least one occasion a ticket won and the alleged offender collected the winnings at a different TAB to the value of 380 dollars.

It’s alleged the man placed bets without paying for them on the 1st and 3rd of April, 25th of June and the 11th of July. The total value of the bets placed was almost 15-hundred-dollars.

The unknown male also attempted to do the same thing last week but ran from the TAB when staff confronted him.

If anyone knows the identity of the man in the CCTV footage, they’re asked to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
