Alice Springs Police have a 46-year-old woman in police custody after a suspicious death earlier today.

Police received at call at 10:00am this morning stating a woman had been stabbed at a residence in Sadadeen.

Police and St John Ambulance attended the scene and conveyed the 43-year-old victim to Alice Springs Hospital where she later died. A woman was arrested at the scene and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Investigations are continuing in relation to the incident and police are calling for anyone with further information to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
