Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman whose body was found in the Todd River this morning.

Acting Superintendent Travis Wurst said Police received a report about 8.45am from a member of the public who found the body in the dry river bed.

“The body was found approximately 150 metres north of the Wills Terrace footbridge in the middle of the river bed,” A/Supt Wurst said.

“A crime scene has been established between Wills Terrace and Schwarz Crescent and Detectives from the Southern Investigations Division are investigating. No further details are available at this time, however we are appealing to anyone with any information about this incident to call police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
