Fire and Rescue and Police attended the scene at approximately 2:43 am and upon arrival found the house to be fully alight.
Fire fighters extinguished the blaze and initial investigators indicate the fire is not suspicious.
The sole male occupant was awoken by his smoke alarm and was assisted by his neighbour who gained entry by smashing a window.
