Stolen motor vehicle - Darwin

NT Police are searching for a silver 2003 100 Series Toyota LandCruiser that was stolen from a house in Anula this morning.

It is alleged that unknown offender/s entered the unlocked home while the 35-year-old female occupant was sleeping on the couch.

It appears the offender/s have broken though a locked fence before entering the home and stealing a handbag that contained various items including two sets of car keys.

Offender/s have rummaged though a Holden Astra and stolen various items and then driven off in the LandCruiser, both cars were parked in the driveway.

Police received a report of suspicious persons in the area just before 3:00am and upon searching of the area discovered the unlocked home. Police woke the occupant who was still sleeping on the couch and unaware of what had just occurred.

NT Police would like remind residents to ensure their homes are secure even when they are home.

Police urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, or who may have any information in relation to the incident, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
