Katherine Police are searching for two men who robbed a 27-year-old man just after 11 o’clock last night.

The victim was riding his pushbike home from work at 11:15 when he was stopped by the offenders near the Katherine Three Cinemas car park.

It’s alleged one man held the victim, while the other accused threatened the 27-year-old with a pair of chrome coloured scissors.

Senior Sergeant Andy Bedwell says “The men stole 20 dollars from the victim and an MP4 player.”

“To be threatened with scissors is of major concern to Police and investigators need help from the public who may have seen anything take place.” Said Snr Sgt Bedwell.

“The MP4 is also very distinctive. It is white in colour and the brand ‘Transcend’ is quite unique.”

Both offenders are described as Aboriginal; one was of thin build wearing a baseball cap.
