Major Crime Detectives have arrested a 30-year-old man in relation to the stabbing death of another man in Darwin early this morning.

About 5:30am Police and St Johns Ambulance received a report of a man lying in the car park of a unit block on Shiers Street in the Narrows.

The 24-year-old had been stabbed in the chest.

“St Johns Ambulance immediately began CPR and conveyed the victim to the Royal Darwin Hospital where he was pronounced dead.” Said Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley.

“The 30-year-old is currently helping Police with investigations, but as yet, no charges have been laid.” Said Det Sen Sgt Malley.
