Sexual Assault Darwin Update

Northern Territory Police have release a comfit image of the alleged offender involved in a sexual assault that occurred in Fanny Bay in the early hours of Friday morning, August 5th.

It is believed that a 31-year-old woman awoke to find an unknown male in her Banyan Street home at around 3:20am.

It is alleged the offender threatened the victim with a knife and sexually assaulted her.

The offender is described as a dark skinned male, in his late teens – early 20’s. He has short dark hair, clean shaven, with a thin build and approximately 178cms tall. He was described as wearing a loose fitting light coloured singlet.

Police urge any one who may have witnessed any suspicious activity on Banyan Street early Friday morning to contact police on 131 444 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
