At approximately 4:00 am, three male offenders entered the United Service Station on Katherine Terrace and assaulted a 25-year-old man who was working at the time.

The man was required hospital treatment for injured sustained as a result of the assault but has since been released.

An amount of money and mobile phones were stolen during the robbery. The three male offenders were last seen running north towards the Katherine River after the incident.

In a separate incident police are also seeking the public's assistance in an unlawful entry committed at the Katherine Tennis Club overnight.

Police believe multiple offenders have forced their way into the clubhouse before damaging club property and stealing alcohol and a small amount of money. Outdoor furniture and tennis equipment was also damaged during the incident.
