Members from the Palmerston Tactical Team are investigating the recent theft of fuel that has occurred on three separate occasions within Palmerston.

It has been reported to Police that during the last month, several hundred litres of Diesel has been stolen from large machinery that has been left unattended overnight at building sites.

Police encourage all owners of large earthmoving type equipment to leave as little fuel in them as possible overnight and to also fit fuel tank locks.

Members of the public are also urged to contact Police on 131 444 should they witness any suspicious behaviour in or around building sites within the Palmerston area.
