Police continue to search for Karen Kelly

Detectives will be setting up a stall at the Humpty Doo Shopping Centre Tomorrow, Wednesday 22 June 2011 in a bid to find further information into the whereabouts of Karen Kelly.

Karen Margaret Kelly (nee Brook) hasn't been seen since she left her home in Darwin River on April 18 2010.

Police now have information suggesting that a male may have information that can assist with their investigations.

It has been established that the man was making enquiries at the Humpty Doo Shopping Centre in late February 2010 regarding the whereabouts of Karen Kelly.

He left a handwritten note on the notice board at Humpty Doo Village urging anyone that knew her to contact him.

The male is described as Caucasian, approximately 30- 40 years of age, 170 cm's tall with a thin build. At the time he had thin light coloured brown or sandy blonde hair and was clean shaven. He was also described to have a thin face and lips, a long narrow nose, stained crooked teeth, tanned and sun damaged skin with very pronounced cheek bones.

He also had a deep, broad Australian Accent.

Police will be at the Humpty Doo Shopping Centre on Wednesday 22 June between 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and urge anyone that may recognise the description of this male, or the attached comfits, to speak to them directly or call through on either 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
