Operation Shiloh - Tennant Creek

Police

Operation Shiloh has had an immediate impact in Tennant Creek.

Officers involved in the mobile operation arrested one man yesterday who had a warrant issued for his arrest after previously failing to appear in court.

Nine people were taken into protective custody and 123 litres of alcohol was also confiscated and destroyed.

On a happy note for Police; of the 220 drivers tested at seven random breath testing stations, only one was charged after returning a low range blood alcohol reading.

“One drunk driver is one too many but it was still pleasing that drivers in Tennant Creek are showing some responsibility towards drinking and driving.” Superintendent Matt Hollamby said.
