Police

A 20-year-old male has been charged with criminal damage after he was involved in an incident on Finnis Street last night.

Police allege that they received reports of a disturbance at a crash repair business at around 11:15 pm and upon attending, witnessed the 20-year-old attempting to push over council barricades.

Senior Sergeant Garry Smith said he also smashed a window, an illuminated glass sign and damaged vehicles by jumping on their roofs.

“He was taken into custody and has since been charged with criminal damage and is to appear in the Darwin Magistrate’s Court later today,” said Senior Sergeant Garry Smith.
