The 48-year-old woman who went missing from Endyalgout Island, 200km North East of Darwin, has been located.

The woman was reported missing at 3:00 pm on Monday when she failed to return from a sight seeing walk on the island.

Local Police from Oenpelli and members from the Territory Response Group (TRG) conducted searches from the air and on the water today.

The woman was spotted from the air by TRG Members on board a helicopter shortly after midday.

The woman is being taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital for assessment.
