Police continue to hold grave concerns for the welfare of 50-year-old missing man John ‘Jackaboy’ Waters.

Mr Waters was reported missing on 21 November, having not been seen since 17 November.

Senior Sergeant Wayne Jenkinson said Police received information that Mr Waters did attended Dundee Beach in the days leading up to his disappearance.

“Mr Waters didn’t take his medication with him, and was not in the best of health at the time of his disappearance. Police from the Territory Response Group have searched an area at Dundee in the hope of discovering some indication of his movements in the area or present whereabouts,” said Senior Sergeant Jenkinson.

Today that search has been suspended pending any further information coming to Police notice.

“At this stage we do not believe the circumstances surrounding his disappearance are suspicious, however Police continue to urge anyone that may know of his whereabouts, to contact them on 131 444.”
